"In 2012 I became a mother through adoption. I was a single mother by choice and I had the honor of being selected for my son, Logan, through open adoption. This part of my life's journey opened my heart to wanting to reach out to other families and to support them during the fourth trimester of birth. There are so many things I never thought I would be faced with as an "instant mom". The joy of adoption was overwhelming and the responsibility of parenting on my own was new territory to me. I have a strong desire to support birth mothers and fathers throughout the adoption process. These parents have given such a gift to the adoptive family. With the excitement of birth and the natural attachment to their child, birth parents will face the joy of birth and the grief of separation at the same time.

As a peer companion to Adoptive and Birth Families, we will develop a support plan that meets the needs of each family. We will develop this plan together so I may minister to the emotional and physical well-being of all parties involved. 

Postpartum support services for adoptive families $25/hour daily or $35/hour overnight
